The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the MERC 1122 Balochistan and SMBZAN ICQ Hospital marks a significant collaboration aimed at enhancing the skills and expertise of medical officers (MO) and emergency medical technicians (EMT) in Balochistan. The focus of this partnership is to provide comprehensive training in crucial areas such as hands-on Basic Life Support (BLS), hands-on intubation techniques, lectures by senior faculty members, and rotations in critical care units. Approximately 171 individuals will undergo training at SMBZAN ICQ Hospital, ensuring that a considerable number of healthcare professionals are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle emergency situations effectively. This initiative underscores a commitment to elevating the quality of emergency medical care in the region, ultimately contributing to improved healthcare outcomes and saving lives.

Minister of Health Balochistan Bakht Muhammad Kakar Visits Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology In a significant visit to the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology in Quetta, Minister of Health Balochistan, Bakht Muhammad Kakar, engaged with hospital leadership and staff to discuss ongoing achievements and future plans. Accompanied by Brig Omer Iftikhar Kahloon, the CEO/Hospital Director, and Col Muhammad Tauqeer Malik, the Additional Hospital Director, the minister received a detailed presentation highlighting the hospital's advancements in cardiac care. During the visit, Minister Kakar toured various departments, including the Cardiac Surgery ward, ICUs, CCUs, HDUs, and Emergency units, gaining insight into the facilities and patient care practices. He also took the time to greet and interact with patients, underscoring the hospital's commitment to community health. we proudly celebrated the Closing Ceremony of the Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Training Program for the National Highway & Motorway Police (NHMP) at the Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Institute of Cardiology, Quetta (SMBZAN ICQ). This extensive training program, conducted from November 5 to November 25, 2024, successfully trained over 300 officers, including Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and Junior Patrol Officers, from various districts across Balochistan.
